This book features the typical Harlequin set up where handsome billinaire blackmails hapless heroine into a relationship with him.This billionare offers marriage to a woman who divorced him years earlier based on a lie told to her by a family member amd only speaks to the hero, her discarded husband, when she and her brother are in dire straights.
Why any man would want a woman who would divorce him without even a conversation and only comes to him because she wants something is never adequately explained. All we know about these two-because we are shown over and over again-is that they have a bang up sex life. Other than discussing what the hero would give her, do for her or escort her, the hero and heroine appeared incapable of expressing themselves in any non-physical way.
I give this book two stars because I liked the hero despite the fact that his character needed fleshing out.
The book is great if you want a quickie, sexy read. If you want romance, you should probably look elsewhere.

Good read, predictable if you've read other Helen Bianchin books. I enjoyed the book and the characters were endearing as always.
I really loved this book. I absolutely loved Duardo and he was totally alpha male and knew what he wanted and he was not taking no for an answer. I loved that kayla was also fiesty and did not make things easy for him. This was completely and totally my favorite type of harlequin. I really wish the author would have done an epilogue though and gave them a bit more of a happily ever after. There was only a few pages once they managed to work things out. If you love this book as much as I did I would like to reccomend The Billionaire Bachelors Series by Melody Anne as well and an accidental birthright by Maisey Yates.
It holds you in the palm of your hand til the end, great read! You will love this book from beginning to end!
Really enjoyed this book...haven't read one I have enjoyed in a while. There was no real ugliness, just someone waiting as long as it took. -)
Author spends so much time trying to pass off MC's as uber polite and refined dialogue comes across as fake, stilted and unbelievable boring. No one would ever speak like this.
Wow, love, love, love Helen but this one total miss. The dialogue seemed duplication from many of her other books - better written books - not to mention very off put in this version. The thrill and eroticism which totally makes up for dialogue in this book it lacked. I'm sorry, I often had to look back at the cover to confirm that in fact I was reading an Helen Bianchin novel. Very disappointed.
This the story by H. Bianchin has a dark background. It starts with the h brother being beaten up by thugs, whom he owes money to. She goes to her ex husband for help. He will only help if she remarried him. Her father had broken up their marriage years ago. Now that he is gone things change. But as with all Bianchin stories that I have read there is the OW who is out for blood of the wife.
